More than 100 attend premiere of HBO's The Weight of the Nation, series begins tonight

Last week, more than 100 people attended the local premiere of HBO’s The Weight of the Nation documentary series. We watched “Children in Crisis,” one of four films that will air on HBO May 14-15. Here are a few reactions shared by viewers:

HBO's Weight of the Nation series debuts in Hamilton County with screening of Children in Crisis

On Wednesday, May 9, WeTHRIVE! presents the local premiere of HBO’s The Weight of the Nation documentary series, from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the 20th Century Theatre, 3021 Madison Road, Cincinnati, 45209.

We will screen Children in Crisis, which tells the heart-wrenching stories of young people struggling with excess weight and facing serious medical complications at an early age, and takes a hard look at the marketing practices of the food and beverage industry, which often undermine efforts of parents and others committed to keeping children healthy.
